The Future of Second Life

October 20, 2007 · Leave a Comment

There’s a good blog post over at Tao’s Thoughts on Second Life about the newly created Linden Lab Architecture Standards Working Group:

Linden Lab reveals the future of Second Life

The post is a recap of the first official meeting of this group, and where they are going from here.  This is well worth a read, and anyone who has an interest in seeing Second Life evolve to the next level of a distributed platform should get involved in whatever way they can.

There’s an update at the end of the post with a link to the newly created Wiki for for this project:

Architecture Standards Working Group Wiki

The move to plan this in the open, with input from anyone willing to participate, is encouraging and continues to show the strong support for the Second Life Community, and their thoughts and concerns, that Linden Lab has shown from the start.
