The Metaverse: Your life, live and in 3D

Stanford Humanities Lab presents our Metaverse Meetup #2 featuring Jamais Cascio. This turned out to be a really interesting event in which Jamais outlined some possible scenarios for our future online life that both contained optimism as well as some somber warnings of what might happen in a not too distant future.

His talk touches on four areas of Metaverse technologies; Virtual Worlds, Mirror Universes, Augmented Reality and Lifelogging. A very interesting discussion that runs over an hour in length.

Note: a smaller resolution version of the video is available from http://shl.stanford.edu (if you are unable to access the above link at Blip.tv).
