Missing girl hunt hits cyber world

CNN has an article up about a search for a missing girl. Here’s the intro to the article:

British police plan to post pictures of missing British toddler Madeleine McCann in virtual world Second Life, a UK-based child protection law enforcement organization says.

The virtual posters of the four-year-old, who vanished in Portugal nearly six weeks ago, will appear in prominent locations in the online world.”

Interesting that every day more and more real world activities are moving into Second Life, as an extension of the real world. Hopefully this effort helps to locate this missing girl. It only takes one person to provide the police with the lead they need to track her down.

  2. I have had a poster of Madeleine McCann up on my island Menorca now for several weeks.And yes, one never knows whether it may help but everything helps to keep up public awareness of this case.
