Jidai Matsuri (Festival of Ages) – 2010

We once again had a successful event this year. The Kyoto students built out a large area on one of the Skoolaborate islands for this event.

Some of the outfits this year were really great. The students get more creative every year in coming up with their traditional Japanese outfits.

We’ve been setting up double periods for these events this year. This works so much better, as the students are not rushed and we get through everything even when there are technical challenges. This event is the culmination of months of work for the Kyoto students. They make all the buildings and clothing. There’s a set of questions that each Modesto student must ask. The Kyoto students are graded on how successful they are in accomplishing all the goals of the project.
